12th Pusan International Film Festival

Pusan International Film festival was held on 4-12 october 2007. This festival attended by more than 200.000 visitor and screened a total of 275 films from 64 nations. In this festival The festival opened with Feng Xiaogang’s The Assembly. Prominent directors like England’s Peter Greenaway, Taiwan’s Hou Hsiao Hsien, Iran’s Dariush Mehrjui, Germany’s Volker Schlondorff, and France’s Claude Lelouch attended the festival.
The closing ceremony was highlighted by festival director Kim Dong Ho’s acceptance of UNESCO’s Federico Fellini Medal and the screening of Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone, Anno Hideaki’s highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of his classic anime series. On October 12th, the 12th PIFF came to a close after nine days of triumphs, criticism, and promises for the next year.
